6. Vegetable Oils
Vegetable oils have grown increasingly popular over the past century, with soybean oil, coconut oil, olive oil, and sunflower oil being the most used. Sunflower oil and soybean oil are high in omega-6, which, if consumed excessively, can lead to an increased risk of heart disease, obesity, arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease. The good news is olive oil and coconut oil don’t have the same negative effect on an individual’s health.
