There have always been conspiracy theories associated with the long-running, animated comedy The Simpsons because of its knack for airing episodes that predict future events long before they happen. In fact, “What did The Simpsons predict” is considered the most Googled question by SEMrush.
December marks the shows 31st anniversary, with its creators celebrating the first episode released on December 17, 1989. In honor of The Simpsons and its incredible success, here are 33 times The Simpsons predict the future correctly.
The Alleged Coronavirus Episode

Before we get into REAL predictions, here’s one making the rounds right now that is actually false.
A post is going around saying that in 1993 from Season 4, episode 21 the writers have the coronavirus come to Springfield. The flu story is true but the coronavirus material is false. According to Deadline, the stillcscome from an episode where workers in Japan accidentally ship the “Osaka Flu” to Springfield. Though three of the images do come from vthat 1993 episode, the newscaster image is from a different episode, and the graphic over his shoulder says “Apocalypse Meow.” Some clever designer put on the screen “corona virus” in the same font.
