The US Army is investigating a video of a paratrooper who joined the Fleetwood Mac “Dreams” trend on TikTok. Instead of sipping Ocean Spray cranberry juice while coasting on a skateboard, the soldier filmed himself sitting sky-high in a parachute as he drinks his own bottle of cranberry juice.
How It All Began
The trend began with a single TikTok made by Nathan Apodaca, who goes by Dogg Face on social media. In his TikTok, he skateboarded while drinking OceanSpray and listening to Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” Unexpectedly, his video exploded into what is now known as social media’s latest viral trend.

Apodaca caught the eye of Fleetwood Mac frontman, Mick Fleetwood, who eventually shot his own version of the video.
Then, the folks at Ocean Spray joined in, with CEO Tom Hayes uploading his own attempt at the trend. They also surprised Apodaca with a brand new truck, which was fully stocked with Apodaca’s beloved cranberry juice.
Just when everyone thought the trend couldn’t get bigger, Stevie Nicks herself joined TikTok to post her own version of the video. While there technically wasn’t any skating involved, fans were gifted with Nicks’ sweet vocals.
With the trend taking over social media, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that it reached the US Army.

The unidentified soldier has experienced some viral fame himself for his airborne video. The video above appears to have been re-uploaded by a different soldier, but it has gotten more than 50,000 likes and 400,000 views.
The soldier’s name tape is covered by a text block containing “AATW,” which is short for “Airborne All the Way.”
Haley Britzky, an Army reporter, shared the clip to her Twitter. In response, the XVII Airborn Corps said they were “looking into it.”
Col. Joseph Buccino, spokesman of the Fort Bragg-based airborne unit, told Stars and Stripes the incident may be considered a safety violation. Buccino told the outlet that the investigation should be wrapped up by the end of this week.
Earlier this month, veterans staged their own attempt at the “Dreams” trend sitting in a helicopter. Their video gained over two million views on Twitter.
The Army is weighing-in on the Fleetwood Mac “Dreams” challenge.
