Last summer a viral challenge hit TikTok involving basketballs and glass bottles — what could go wrong? The “Basketball Beer Challenge” had people testing their agility and, if pulled off correctly, they get to enjoy an ice-cold beer.
Well, the Basketball Beer challenge is back and flooding social media. It requires someone to hold a basketball in their hands and place a glass beer bottle or can on top. Then, the person bounces the basketball. As soon as they let the basketball go, they have to try to catch the bottle and chug once they grab it.

However, just like any viral trend that challenges someone’s agility, not all attempts are successful. As impressive as some attempts are, more people look to the failures for some much-needed entertainment.
Failed Attemps at the Beer Bottle Challenge
It’s not hard to imagine what could go wrong from having a glass bottle or can flying mid-air. Despite several failed attempts, TikTok users didn’t let a few broken bottles stop them on their path to success.

For one TikTok user, @syruptaco, no one could have anticipated the can’s trajectory. Everyone involved with the TikTok watched in shock as the beer can went flying over their fence and into their neighbor’s yard.
