The latest TikTok trend to turn controversial involves people picking up their children or younger siblings and throwing them off-camera.
The trend is set to rapper Blueface’s song “Baby.” In the song, he raps, “No baby, we can’t have the baby. If you don’t take this Plan B, b****, it’s plan C.” The line prompts TikTok users to toss the child in their arms off-screen. After the child is tossed, the TikTok users go on to dance along to the rest of the song.
Blueface first shared a screen recording of another TikTok user’s take on the challenge to his personal TikTok account. In it, a young boy can be seen holding what appears to be his little sister. He tosses her away before continuing to dance to the song.
The screen recording shows the original user as @mauricethabeast8, however, TikTok says the account has been banned “due to multiple Community Guidelines violations.”

Blueface then posted his own TikTok participating in the trend, helping it blow up. Blueface also promoted the challenge on his Instagram, sharing multiple videos. In one of his captions he wrote, “Grab da nearest baby.”
Many took to the comments to criticize the trend and Blueface’s promotion. One user wrote, “I’d be disappointed if my mom threw me, then proceeded to shake a** for the internet.”
Others questioned where the young kids were being tossed to, especially concerning videos where kids appeared to be tossed more aggressively.
Controversial TikTok Challenges and Kids

This is hardly the first child-involved trend to turn controversial. While others happily encourage family-friendly TikTok trends like the “Cuddle Your Toddler” challenge, there are some that get much more criticism.
Notably, one challenge had parents tossing water into their baby’s faces. Users claimed that dousing unsuspecting babies with water was a form of child abuse.
Another challenge — the “New Teacher” challenge — was slammed by teachers and activists as parents used images of people with physical disabilities to “scare” their kids in a recorded prank.
