After a year-long hiatus, one of the most successful kids’ series on Netflix is back for new baby hijinks: DreamWorks Animation‘s The Boss Baby: Back in Business is now streaming season 3 on Netflix.
The series follows up directly after where the film left off. It’s also loosely based on the Marla Frazee book by the same name.
For those that need a refresher: the movie follows a baby — Boss Baby, or Ted (voiced by JP Karliak) — who is a secret agent in the war for adults’ love between babies and puppies. The first season of the streaming service saw Boss Baby teaming up with his big brother Tim (voiced by Pierce Gagnon) as they navigate around the world of Baby Corp to combat a brand new enemy for babies’ cuteness — cats.
Oh, and while The Boss Baby: Back in Business has been on hiatus, it’s racked up some 2019 award nominations, notably the Kids’ Choice Awards nomination for Favorite Cartoon and Kidscreen Awards for Best Animated Series and Best New Series.
Where we find Boss Baby as Season 3 gets underway…
Boss Baby in Season 3

Boss Baby is summoned to the Board of Directors. Could his dream of becoming CEO – the ultimate ending to his corporate journey – finally be coming true? Nope. Boss Baby’s blamed for every bad thing that’s ever happened to Baby Corp and is fired and exiled down to earth.
There, he’s thrown into the world of regular babies — a complete nightmare. “How did I end up in Mommy/Daddy/Baby Play Group?”
But Boss Baby’s not one to give up. It’s up to him to get his mojo back and assemble a brand new field team in order to climb to the top of the corporate ladder.
