TikTok users of all ages are airing out their past trauma with the latest viral challenge — the “Bulletproof Challenge.”
The challenge’s setup is fairly simple. A user must simply choose La Roux’s 2009 hit, “Bulletproof.” They put white text on their video that starts with, “You think you can hurt my feelings?” Then, they stare straight at their camera as rainbow lights flash and name an experience they went through that made them “bulletproof.”
As of this writing, the audio has more than one million videos, with many of these TikToks related to the challenge. Also notable are the popular figures who are participating in the challenge.
Bulletproof Challenge Goes Viral
Claudia Conway, daughter to Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, has famously used TikTok to speak out against the Trump administration. Her attempt at the Bulletproof Challenge is not much different than her previous posts.

Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas of the “Fierce Five” and “Final Five” from the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, respectively, spoke about being bullied throughout her career. In her caption, she wrote, “And that’s on being bullied on a world stage. Twice…”

Multiple Dance Moms stars are using their time as child dancers under Abby Lee Miller’s coaching as the basis for their Bulletproof Challenge videos. Chloe Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Kenzie Ziegler, and Nia Sioux all referenced their “traumatizing” time on Dance Moms following JoJo Siwa’s viral TikTok.
Siwa, who has faced years of cyberbullying while growing up in the limelight, had plenty of things to say in her video. From being “made fun of 24/7” for her hairline to being “called a giant toddler every other day,” Siwa had more than just her Dance Moms experience to call out.
@itsjojosiwa Hi, I’m JoJo, and….. I’ve heard it all. 🥱
