Humor. Fun. Personal chivalry. It’s all out there on the internet during the COVID-19 pandemic. So how are celebrities handling the quarantine? By raising our spirits! Here are some of our favorite ways celebs are both raising their spirits and sharing the love.
Gal Gadot’s a Wonder Woman with “Imagine”
During day six of her self-quarantine. Gal Gadot decided to start a sing-along with some famous pals via John Lennon’s song “Imagine.”
“These past few days got me feeling a bit philosophical,” she says at the top of the video. “This virus has affected the entire world. Everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, we’re all in this together.”
Since Gadot started this, “celebrities coronavirus imagine” has become a top search term on Google. Here’s the result of this brilliant compilation with the voice stylings of stars ranging from Sarah Silverman and James Marsden to Jimmy Fallon and Natalie Portman.
Here’s the video of the trumpet serenade in Italy that inspired Gadot’s own compilation rendition of “Imagine.”
Josh Gad’s Nightly Twitter Bedtime Stories
Search Twitter for #gadbookclub and you’ll find Frozen’s Olaf sharing his fave children’s stories each night.
“Since we’re all stuck at home right now, I figured we’d have a little fun together,” Gad says.
Apropos in the video is Olivia Goes to Venice by Ian Falconer. (SIDE NOTE: reports of dolphins swimming in the Venice canals surfaced today. And how cool is that?! Another on the list: The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers.)

Gad’s promise: “I’ll try to provide at least 10 minutes of daycare to you and your families a night while we’re going through this unprecedented global event,” he promised. “I love you all. I hope you’re all healthy and safe, wherever you are and hopefully I will see you all very soon. Take care.”
Kevin Bacon Six Degrees of Separation
At a time when we’re encouraged to stay six feet away from one another, Kevin Bacon launched a Six Degrees of Separation Campaign with the directive to tag six people and have everyone post a video about the loved one they’re staying home to protect against COVID-19. Any guesses who his “person” is? Below you’ll find the answer in his Instagram post.
For those who don’t understand what Kevin Bacon’s connection to this is, there’s a party game called Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon or “Bacon’s Law.” It’s based on the “six degrees of separation” concept, which posits that any two people on Earth are six or fewer acquaintance links apart. Movie buffs challenge each other to find the shortest path between an arbitrary actor and prolific actor Kevin Bacon.
Dancing with JLo and Ciara
JLo and Alex Rodriguez’s family can’t seem to get enough of TikTok, and we’re more than happy to see what they come up with next. For this post, they took on the “Something New” challenge featuring the Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign song by the same name.
Taking “the stage” in the video: JLo, Rodriguez, his daughters Natasha Alexander, 15, and Ella Alexander, 11, plus Lopez’s 12-year-old twins, Emme Maribel and Maximilian “Max” David (whose father, Marc Anthony is known for his own fancy footwork).
To keep spirits lifted, they’ve posted a dance video that will have you contemplating your own choreography.
Not to be left out, Ciara and her brood got into the action with their own dance moves to Khalifa’s “Something New.” Joining the currently pregnant singer and husband Russell Wilson were there two kids, almost-three-year-old Sienna Princess and 5 1/2-year-old Future Zahir.
