The devastation of a miscarriage can’t be put into words. In the past, it was treated as a taboo subject, but in recent years, celebrities have used various platforms to share their miscarriage stories. Public figures are sharing their own stories of pregnancy loss to end the stigma and to assure others they aren’t alone in their pregnancy struggles.
Here are some celebrities who have shared their miscarriage stories.
Chrissy Teigen

Just this week, model and activist Chrissy Teigen posted about her and husband John Legend’s recent miscarriage.
“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” she wrote in the post. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
She then apologized to the baby, who the couple had named Jack.
“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”

Beyoncé

In a 2013 interview with Oprah, Beyoncé shared the story of a miscarriage she had before Blue Ivy’s birth. Later in 2019, she talked about how the experience altered her perspective on success, telling Elle magazine, “I began to search for deeper meaning when life began to teach me lessons I didn’t know I needed. Success looks different to me now. I learned that all pain and loss is, in fact, a gift. Having miscarriages taught me that I had to mother myself before I could be a mother to someone else.”
