While some dangerous, often idiotic, TikTok challenges make headlines, there have also been a series of family-friendly challenges that have gone viral. Rather than resulting in controversy (or lawsuits), these wholesome challenges are leaving just about everyone involved happy.
From cuddling toddlers to testing kids’ egg-handling skills, families are finding new ways to go viral on TikTok.
Toddlers Are Tested in “Cuddle Your Toddler Challenge”
In this challenge, parents approach their kids while they watch their favorite show. The parents try to initiate some form of cuddling, either hugging the child or putting their head in their child’s lap. As expected, this wholesome challenge brought on adorable results as kids eagerly accepted some cuddle time with their parents.

Breastfed Babies Surprised in “Drop Em Out Challenge”
It’s never too early to go viral, and the breastfed babies of TikTok had their time to shine with the “Drop Em Out Challenge.”
In this challenge, moms exposed their breasts to their babies and recorded their excited reactions to Wheeler Walker Jr.’s song, “Drop ‘Em Out.” The lyrics to the song fit perfectly: “Drop ’em out, let me see them ti–ies…gonna take a long look at those tig ol’ bitties.” And that’s just what babies are doing.
“Candy Challenge” Tests Kids’ Patience
The age-old test of telling a child not to dig into the candy bowl without parental permission was revived with the “Candy Challenge.” Also known as the “Fruit Snack Challenge” or “Patience Challenge,” the trend went viral as celebrities like Gabrielle Union and Kylie Jenner joined in.
In the challenge, parents placed sweet treats in front of their young ones and left them alone in the room. Before leaving, they tell their child not to snack on the treats until they return to the room and give them permission. Meanwhile, kids are secretly recorded to see if they succeed at the test.
