Flower Foods has announced a voluntary recall of its hamburger and hot dog buns, plus other bakery products. In a statement, the Georgia-based company cited, “the potential presence of small pieces of hard plastic that may have been introduced during production. Consumption of product may cause a choking hazard.”
After discovering small pieces of hard plastic in production, the company pre-emptively recalled the products, though no related injuries or illnesses have been reported.
States where recalled items may have been purchased: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia
Brand names impacted include: 7-Eleven, Great Value, Food Depot, Market Pantry, Natural Grain, Nature’s Own, Publix and Wonder.
Flower Foods stated:
