#ImJustAKid Goes Viral
The TikTok challenge requires people to recreate their childhood pictures as Simple Plan’s “I’m Just a Kid” plays in the background of the video. The challenge is so popular on TikTok that it made Simple Plan’s debut single, which released in 2002, certified Platinum this week.
TikTok users are fully embracing their awkward and hilarious childhood photos in the “I’m Just a Kid” challenge. From adults settling onto their parents’ laps to grown siblings recreating posed family photoshoots. Celebrities and social media influencers are also taking part in the TikTok challenge.
YouTuber and social media influencer David Dobrik uploaded a video of him and his friend recreating their photo from a school dance, posing perfectly.
The Cheaper by the Dozen cast reunited to recreate their characters’ memorable scenes, including Hillary Duff, Bonnie Hunt, Piper Perabo, Kevin G Schmidt, Alyson Stoner, Jacob Smith, Morgan York, Shane and Bret Kinsman, Blake Woodruff, and Forrest Landis. Unfortunately, Tom Welling, Liliana Mumy, and Steve Martin didn’t make an appearance.
Hunt, who played the mom of the iconic family, uploaded the clip to Twitter, writing “Surprise! From the Baker family to yours. We are all in this together. #wearefamily.” She tagged charity No Kid Hungry and a donation page.
