Your breakfast is about to get a lot more colorful. Thanks to Kellogg, you can now get six of your favorite cereals all in one box. It’s called Kellogg’s All Together cereal, and it was created in partnership with GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, to celebrate inclusiveness, diversity, and equality.
Inside a limited-edition box of All Together cereal you’ll find six mini-packages of Kellogg’s most popular cereals, including Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, Rice Krispies and Frosted Mini-Wheats. The mascots who represent those cereals -– like Tony the Tiger and Toucan Sam -– are all featured together on the box. The company also created “Stand Together: A Spirit Day message from Kellogg’s” video featuring their mascots with a message to speak out against bullying.
“We all belong together,” said Kellogg in a statement. “So for the first time in history, our famous mascots and cereals are offered exclusively together in the same box for All Together Cereal. It’s a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you’re from or who you love.”
The box is purple in honor of Spirit Day (which was yesterday) when millions of people wear the color purple in honor of anti-bullying causes. Promoted by GLAAD, Spirit Day was started in 2010 by teenager Brittany McMillan in memory of gay students who took their own lives after being bullied.
“The All Together cereal encompasses the values of diversity, equality and solidarity that Spirit Day is all about, and we hope that LGBTQ youth everywhere receive the messages loud and clear,” said John McCourt, GLAAD’s senior director of development and integrated marketing.
In addition to releasing All Together cereal, Kellogg will be making a $50,000 donation to GLAAD. It’s not clear whether proceeds from the sale of the limited-edition cereal will also be donated. Parentology has contacted Kellogg for more information, but has not heard back as of this writing.
“We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community,” said Kellogg. “For more than 100 years, Kellogg has nourished families so they can flourish and thrive, and the company continues to welcome everyone to the table.”
Kellogg is just the latest major brand to create a new product to celebrate LGBTQ and anti-bullying causes. For Pride Month, Converse released their classic Chuck Taylor shoes adorned with gay pride symbols. Absolut Vodka brought back its rainbow bottle. And Disney laid out the Rainbow Disney collection, offering its t-shirts, jewelry, and backpacks in new rainbow colors.
You can purchase a box of All Together cereal for $19.99 at the Kellogg online store.
