Authorities have handed a Florida woman a harsh prison sentence for carrying on illegal sexual relationships with teenagers. Leigh Ann Rhodes of Pensacola, FL landed in trouble last year when the lurid details of her crimes came to light.
The Florida Department of Children and Families received a tip in August of 2020 that Rhodes, then 33, had been involved in sexual relations with two teenagers. NorthEscambia.com reported that the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office interviewed both Rhodes and the victims following the allegation.
Rhodes reportedly admitted to the crimes during her interview with police. Meanwhile, the teen victims provided police with details of the abuse and cell phone evidence incriminating Rhodes.
An account provided by one of the victims painted a disturbing picture of the abuse and manipulation tactics Rhodes used. According to the 14-year-old boy, Rhodes communicated with him through Snapchat and texts, and the two engaged in oral sex and intercourse multiple times at each of their respective homes.
Rhodes reportedly had the victim sign a “BDSM contract,” referring to sexual bondage and submission. The contract reportedly made the teen a submissive to Rhodes, who acted as the dominant or “domme.” It stated that the “submissive agrees to perform all of those set by the domme without hesitation or complaints,” an arrest report said.
Rhodes also sent the victim a text reading, “Is it honestly possible for us to have this relationship long term without someone finding out and me going to prison? Because it seems way too good to be true baby.”
Police reportedly spoke to Rhodes’ husband, who said he had no knowledge of her crimes.
Authorities have since charged Rhodes with three counts of lewd or lascivious battery and one count of transmission of harmful materials to a minor. She pleaded no contest to all counts.
In a recent sentencing hearing, Rhodes received a 20-year prison sentence and designation as a sexual offender. Upon her release, she will serve a further five years of Sexual Offender Probation.
