With 2020 approaching, it’s time to take a look at some of the newest and hottest teen slang terms and acronyms kids are using.
A “finsta” is a second Instagram account used for sharing with a smaller circle of friends and followers. This account is sometimes kept a secret from parents. Kids usually post info that is secretive from their public profile.
The word “Mood” is teen slang to express that you understand or relate to something. Say someone posts a picture of a sleeping dog; if you’re feeling a little sleepy yourself, you might comment “mood.”
To be “cuffed” is to be in a committed relationship. Some kids call the cold winter months when people look for new relationships “cuffing season” (or “cuffing szn”).
