The latest version of Pandemic, the popular board game, is now completely free and ready for anyone to play from the comfort of their own homes. A new print-and-play version of Pandemic: Hot Zone — North America is available to download, no strings attached.
Z-Man Games released the original Pandemic game in the United States in 2008. Polygon describes it as a “card-driven, cooperative strategy game that tasks players with stamping out four highly infectious diseases as they flare up all over the world.” Earlier this month, they announced Pandemic: Hot Zone.
The Hot Zone series focuses on smaller regions of the world and a specific number of diseases. The new version also features faster gameplay while keeping the same theme as the series. The first installment is set in North America, but future releases can be expected to feature different regions.
The newly released print-and-play Pandemic is the complete game you would normally get with Pandemic: Hot Zone — North America, which releases later this fall. The printed game requires 17 sheets of paper to create the game board and the game’s cards. For smaller game pieces, you can use items from other board games or other household items like paper clips, buttons, or loose change.
You can download the free print-and-play version here.
There’s also a handy video guide to get you perfectly set up for your next game night from Watch It Played on YouTube.
