Yesterday was Independence Day to some, but to others, it marked the premiere of Stranger Things season three. To celebrate the beloved Netflix original series’ return, H&M has teamed up with the network to release a summer clothing line inspired by the designs and characters seen in the show.
“We’re really excited to collaborate with Netflix on their hit-series Stranger Things,” an H&M spokesperson tells Parentology. “We think it´s a great opportunity for us to be able to offer all of our customers and fans a chance to wear some of the garments featured in the new season.”

The sci-fi series is set in the 1980’s small town of Hawkins, Indiana. It follows a group of kids, now tweens, who kicked off the series by befriending a girl with superhuman powers and helping her escape a research facility where doctors held her captive. The first two seasons were widely well-received and reviews for season three have been just as stellar.
Between the shows lovable and identifiable characters, and a soundtrack of synth-pop classics, Stranger Things quickly became a fan favorite for people of all ages. Also winning hearts — the sometimes over-the-top 80’s fashions.

Of the new Stranger Things clothing H&M produced, the spokesperson said, “The collection is an homage to the iconic 1980´s style of the show and lazy summer days by the pool. It consists of graphic t-shirts and tanks, shorts, play suits and a range of poolside accessories. The color palette includes the Stranger Things colors in black, red and white, but also fuchsia, pink, and teal. It has been designed by H&M´s in-house team in collaboration with Netflix, and several of the collection´s pieces will be seen throughout the series.”
The 80s-inspired poolside collection will only be around for a limited time. It’s currently available online and in-stores.
Stranger Things also has 75 brand agreements for the promotion of the third season, including Coca-Cola, Levis, Nike, Burger King, and Eggo Waffles.
