Is there anything people can’t (or won’t) do on TikTok these days? There’s the TikTok Buss It Challenge, where people wear frumpy clothes while dancing to the Nelly song “Hot in Herre,” drop to the floor and suddenly rise up into a sexier version of themselves — this time dressed to the nines and twerking to Erika Banks’ “Buss It.” Then there’s the (supposedly “sexy” and possibly risky) Silhouette Challenge, in which people strip down to their underwear, then strike poses in a doorway to show off their silhouetted bodies with the help of a red filter.
Now the latest TikTok craze to mesmerize the masses is the Talk to Me Boy trend (sometimes called the Talk to Me Boy Challenge). It was inspired by pop star Justin Timberlake himself. The line “Talk to me boy, no disrespect” is from his hit song “Rock Your Body” and it’s birthed another glow up video.
What’s a glow up? It’s basically a transformation, often physical, for the better. And in the Talk To Me Boy trend on TikTok that’s exactly the idea.
