A toddler from Sacramento, California became a hot viral figure for his skateboarding skillsback in July, and his videos are being shared once again all over social media. But that’s not the crazy news. The real thing drawing attention is that Brody Alexzandr is only 2, and earning the title of “Tiny Hawk” as people call him the mini version of pro-skateboarder Tony Hawk.
“‘Whoosh. He calls it whoosh. All day, every day, ‘Mama I go whoosh,” his mom, Alexzandria Hopkins explained to CBS.

His father, Shayne Dillynger, is also a skateboarder. After he lost his job during the coronavirus pandemic, he decided to teach Brody a new hobby while they were stuck in quarantine.
According to his parents, he spends at least five hours on his skateboard each day. They describe Brody’s commitment as a “little intense” and “nervewracking.”
Like many others of recent internet popularity, Brody rose to fame on TikTok, where his parents post the family’s daily life to their shared account, @shred_family. At first, Brody practiced on the streets around the family’s home. Now, he’s upgraded his skateboard practice to skateparks, where he’s trying out ramps.
Skateboarding isn’t the end for Brody, but just the beginning of the adventures his family is planning. This winter, they hope to get him on a snowboard to hit the slopes.
