One dad is going viral for bringing new life to the tooth fairy tradition.
Uzi is from Israel and has been living in America for about 15 years, according to Buzzfeed. He and his wife, Michelena, have three kids together. When their oldest child, Avichai, lost his tooth, Uzi found himself confused as to what exactly the tooth fairy was supposed to do.
Michelena, however, had something planned from the moment their son’s tooth first started getting loose. She told Buzzfeed, “It just clicked for me that I was going to have him dress up!”
Uzi took the idea in stride and did just that. When Avichai lost his tooth, they went to the store to pick up Uzi’s outfit for his tooth fairy transformation. Luckily for the internet, Michelena uploaded the entire ordeal to TikTok.
In her caption, Michelena wrote, “When you tell your foreign husband that in America, he has to dress as the tooth fairy when a kid loses a tooth.” Uzi can be seen in his full tooth fairy ensemble — a purple wig and wings, silver tiara and wand, and a white one-piece with tutu.
Once fully dressed as the tooth fairy, Uzi ventured into his kids’ room to sprinkle some fairy dust — glitter — around the room.
Then, Uzi completed his job as the tooth fairy by swapping out his son’s tooth with a crisp $20 bill. He also didn’t forget to sprinkle some more glitter before he flew out to the hallway.
The most impressive part of Uzi’s time as a tooth fairy? The kids stayed asleep the entire time.
