Oh, if we only knew four months ago what we know now… That’s the message comedian Julie Nolke plays with in her new YouTube video “Explaining the Pandemic to My Past Self.” As she states in the video summary, “What would happen if I tried to explain what’s happening now to the January 2020 version of myself?”
Without spoiling anything, here’s a small taste:
PAST JULIE: “I think the Australian wildfires are gonna be the defining feature of 2020.”
PANDEMIC JULIE: “Yeah… not even a little bit.”

About Julie Nolke
Julie Nolke is an actor, comedian, and writer who posts a weekly comedy sketch every Thursday on her YouTube channel. According to IMDB, she’s performed in a number of short folks, as well as the TV series Workin’ Moms (2017) and TallBoyz (2019), and Disney’s Secret Society of Second Born Royals, which is currently listed in post-production so we don’t know when it will be released.
Regardless, we’ve watched a number of her videos and they’re pretty awesome. Not all are for kids, so keep your headphones on if you have children running around the house.
Nolke isn’t alone in producing fun content during the pandemic. Lots of folks have been trying to amuse themselves with quarantine games and TikTok challenges, but a lot of actors have been turning to creating videos as well. Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot has people singing Th Beatles “Imagine,” while Josh Gad from Frozen is reading to kids — and you can see how celebrities are facing the quarantine here.
