About the Show
Doug’s parents want him to grow up and be a smart robot, so each morning they plug him in and start the information download. However, after learning new facts about the world every day, the savvy six-year-old starts to suspect that there’s more to life then just learning facts.
So, what does any curious kid (robot or otherwise) do? Doug unplugs and journeys into the human world in search of experiences. There he meets his new best friend, a human ball of energy named Emma, and the two take off to discover all the simple wonders this world has to offer.

Doug Unplugs Exclusive Clip
After Doug enters the human world, he starts to gain a deeper knowledge of what learning is all about. In this exclusive clip, Doug and Emma visit a farm where they recognize that experiences are a key part of the learning process.
Doug Unplugs comes from two industry veterans. The first is executive producers Aliki Theofilopoulos, who most recently worked on Harvey Girls Forever! at DreamWorks and the animated Descendants: Wicked World for Disney; she also is an Emmy-nominated writer and songwriter on the highly-acclaimed show Phineas and Ferb. Executive producer Jim Nolan is an Emmy-nominated kids’ television writer who’s worked for Netflix, Disney XD and HBOMax. His credits include Charlie’s Colorforms City for Netflix and Nella the Princess Knight for Nickelodeon.
