With winter fast on our heels, there’s a new film that will see families pulling on their snow boots and heading outdoors for chilly adventures: the animated Racetime movie.
Available On Digital and On-Demand (you can rent or buy on platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Cable VOD — DirecTV, Dish, InDemand, Vudu) starting tomorrow, Racetime is a production from Viva Kids. This is the first time the film has been made available internationally, since its Canadian premiere last December.
A follow-up to Jean-Francois Pouliot’s SnowTime! — who can forget the film’s epic snowball fight — this sequel finds Frankie and Sophie challenging newcomers Zac and Charlie to a duel a la snow — a sled race. When Frankie and Sophie’s sled breaks down during the race, suspicions arise — Did Zac cheat?
A rematch is declared and stakes raised, with Frankie laying his team’s clubhouse on the line.
Calling on their teamwork skills, Frankie, Sophie and the gang construct a new race track and prepare for a showdown.
Music fans will delight in songs by Cyndi Lauper, Simple Plan, Robby Johnson, Zack Lane, Lara Fabian, Joshua Moreno, Kim Richardson and Lulu Hughes. Also featured: U2’s Beautiful Day sung by the Cool Kids.
The film’s website (see link below) has behind-the-scenes videos, activities aligned with the film and extra downloadables.
