About the Show
Inspired by the bestselling book Mindset by Carol Dwek, Gabby’s Dollhouse is a hybrid live-action/animated series. Gabby, the human host who’s played by Laila Lockhart Kraner, unboxes a story in each episode, taking viewers into her fantastic animated dollhouse as well as other mini-worlds that are filled with cute kitty characters.
Learn more about the series in our Gabby’s Dollhouse interview with the show’s creators, Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey.
Common Sense Media notes the educational as aspects of the show, “as the characters dabble in the cooking arts, gardening, science, and crafting in very simplistic ways, but they’re always a lot of fun. One dollhouse friend has a sour personality, so his friends spend time doing what they can to counter it rather than letting it negatively affect them. Cute music and appealing mix of live action and animation combine to make this a very watchable show.”
Gabby’s Dollhouse is currently in its first season on Netflix. So far, eight 22-minute episodes have. Watch the trailer below and learn more on the show’s website.
