The last time we checked in with comedian Julie Nolke back in April, she was explaining the COVID-19 pandemic to her past self. In that video, which has since gone viral with more than 6 million views, Julie from April had some cryptic warnings for Julie from January about the challenges ahead. Now, Nolke is back with “Explaining the Pandemic to my Past Self Part 2.”
Haven’t seen the first video? Here it is, followed by the new one.
In the new video, it’s Julie from April’s turn to get a visit from her future herself to let her know that, well, it gets worse. Here’s a just a sample of how Julie from June delivers the news:
JULIE FROM APRIL: “Let’s just do some good news, you know? I could really, really use some good news.”
JULIE FROM JUNE: *Laughs and laughs*
While Part 2 is just as hysterical as the first when it comes to talking about what we’re all facing, it also takes a moment to get serious about the challenges at hand. As Julie from June says, “We can’t change the past, but we can certainly help make the future better.” If you would like to help make a change for the better, consider supporting black-owned businesses, or simply talking to your kids about racial bias.
