Birds of a feather flock, rock, and sing together in the new animated series Do, Re & Mi starring Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn, and Luke Youngblood. It comes from Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Kids+, and is slated to premiere on September 17. Learn more about this series and check out the trailer below.
About the Show
Do, Re & Mi is a new Amazon Original animated series targeting preschoolers, but the music feels like something parents can definitely get behind. It centers on the musical adventures of three best birdie buddies— whose names go along with the series title.
“Featuring delightful adventures and toe-tapping original songs spanning multiple genres, the series takes little ones on a journey where they will discover new sounds and melodies, move to the beat, and see how music helps solve every problem!” states the Amazon press release.
Do, Re & Mi stars Kristen Bell as “Mi.” Unless you’ve been living in an arctic wasteland, you likely know that Bell is best known to kids and adults alike as the iconic voice of Anna in the Frozen films and specials from Disney. While Bell is also producing the series, her Frozen credits put her at the forefront of all the press. That said, Luke Youngblood who plays “Do” and Jackie Tohn who plays “Re” are heavy hitters in their own right.
Youngblood’s career took off playing Lee Jordan in the Harry Potter movies, and kids may also recognize his voice from Fast & Furious Spy Racers and Baby Shark’s Big Show. Adults will be more familiar with Tohn from The Good Place, the Amazon series The Boys, and as the brash-talking wrestler Melanie Rosen in the Netflix series GLOW. Tohn is also producing the show alongside Bell, Michael Scharf and Ivan Askwith, as well as Nicolas Atlan and Terry Kalagian from production company Gaumont.
