The 1990’s Biggest Babies Reborn
The original Rugrats series launched in August of 1991 and instantly became a groundbreaking phenomenon. There were Rugrats products all over (and still popular today) as well as three hit movies, making it a pop cultural icon. The series was in production for nine seasons over the course of 13 years, and earned four Daytime Emmy Awards, six Kids’ Choice Awards and its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Now Rugrats is returning with an all-new CG animated series that debuts on Paramount+ next week, May 27, before airing on the show’s original home, Nickelodeon, later in the year. The new series will star everyone’s favorite toddler crew—Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, and the twins Phil and Lil (with their original voice actors)— as they explore the world from their pint-sized and wildly imaginative points of view.
To celebrate the release of the new series, Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon Home Entertainment released Rugrats: The Complete Series 2021 DVD edition. It features all nine seasons, which equals more than 67 hours of hilarious hijinks and crazy crawling adventures, including special episodes “Runaway Reptar” and “All Growed Up.”
